Women in Agribusiness Scholarship Application
for the WIA Summit in Orlando
September 22-24, 2025
Before proceeding, please review the following:
The Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Student Scholarship is designed to support students committed to pursuing a career in the agribusiness industry by offsetting the costs associated with attending the annual WIA Summit. The number of scholarships awarded each year varies depending on the availability of sponsors. If selected, WIA will provide an acceptance letter to share with your professors, explaining your absence from classes during the three-day event.
Scholarship Benefits:
Registration for the three-day Summit.
Three nights of shared hotel accomodations (if required.)
Meals provided during the event.
One-year WIA Membership, granting access to conference content and the member directory.
Student Workshop with industry executives.
Dedicated student breakfast to network with peers.
Exclusions:
Transportation to the event location.
Meals outside of event-related activities.
WIA Scholarship Eligibility:
Applicants must be full-time students in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level students are eligible to apply.
Note: Preference will be given to undergraduate students at the junior or senior level.
Applicants’ areas of study must be in an agricultural related field.
Note: If your major lies outside of this area, you may still be considered if you provide a compelling justification in your application explaining how attending the WIA Summit will be beneficial to your career.
Recipients must be available to attend the Summit, from September 22-24, 2025.
Only complete applications will be reviewed.
Application deadline: Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Applicants not chosen for the 2025 WIA Summit may re-apply for the 2026 WIA Summit.
The WIA Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, gender, religion, age, national origin, physical ability, or sexual orientation.

One-page statement (~ 500-700 words) detailing your educational and career goals and explaining how attending the WIA Summit will benefit your career path.
Note: This statement should focus on your future aspirations and not simply repeat information from your resume or application. You may also include additional details you believe are relevant.
Event Attendance Requirements:
Scholarship recipients must participate in all Summit activities, including sessions, networking opportunities, and exclusive student activites.
Recipients will be introduced to the corporate sponsor of their scholarship and are expected to engage with their sponsoring company both prior to and during the event.
